LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is now in soft opening mode at EPCOT—just a couple of weeks before its official debut on Oct. 16.

The interactive walkthrough attraction, which is inspired by Disney’s 2016 animated film “Moana,” will be open to park visitors on select days and during select hours through Oct. 15.

Disney said it may use a virtual queue during the soft opening. To access it, visitors will need to use the My Disney Experience app once they’re inside the park to join. The virtual queue will open at 9:00 a.m.

Journey of Water takes visitors through the water cycle using pathways and interactive stations featuring jumping fountains, musical streams and other water effects.

In addition to playing with water, visitors can look for characters from the film hidden in the rock work throughout the attraction.

And just across from the new attraction, visitors can meet Moana in a new dedicated character meet-and-greet area.

Journey of Water comes amid a massive, multi-part transformation of EPCOT, which has included new attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, new restaurants and the renaming of areas of the park into neighborhoods—World Nature, World Celebration and World Discovery.
