LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Last month, Disney World announced that the parking lot trams would be returning to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in September. Well, that time has finally arrived.

What You Need To Know

  • Parking lot tram service has returned to EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • The service has been paused at both parks since March 2020

  • This marks the first time in three years that tram service is available at all four Disney World parks

The trams, which transport visitors between the parking lot and the park entrances, are rolling again at both parks. Service resumed Wednesday—the first time since March 2020.

In response to the pandemic, Disney shuttered its parks four months. When the parks reopened, the trams remained unavailable.

It also marks the first time in three years that the trams have been operational at all four Disney World parks. Magic Kingdom brought back trams in December 2021 and Disney’s Animal Kingdom followed in May 2022.

The lack of tram service has been a constant source of criticism from park visitors who were left only with the option of walking to and from their vehicles—often in the hot summer months.
