Turi’s Kid Cove will feature enhanced play elements, including watering palms, tipping buckets, spraying jets and water bubbles.
The play area will also feature Tamariki Twirl, a new wave slide with a kid-sized half-pipe. It will be a mini-version of Aquatica’s KareKare Curl waterslide, which opened in 2019.
The debut of Kid Cove comes amid the park’s Aloha to Summer event, which wraps up May 21. The event, held on Saturday and Sunday, features a dance party, contests and new treats at select restaurants and bars.
SeaWorld, which operates Aquatica, has been making a number of updates at the water park. Last year, more loungers were added, the Banana Beach Cookout restaurant was upgraded and the revamped body slide Reef Plunge opened.
