The attration will have visitors scaling a 32-foot-tall rock wall, crossing a 150-foot swinging bridge and ziplining.

“Our goal was to offer a different, dynamic and interactive experience that combined the thrill and challenge of three different adventures,” Gatorland president and CEO Mark McHugh said in a statement. “You won’t find this anywhere else in Florida but Gatorland.”

The Gatorland team spent several months developing Croc Rock, according to park director Mike Hileman.

For the rock wall, they wanted to go with a natural look native to Florida. Working with a company in Colorado, they designed a wall made to look like limestone found in the Sunshine State. The wall has both natural and artificial climbing holds.

After climbing the rock wall, visitors will then head to the next activity: crossing a swinging bridge. After that, they will zipline over one Gatorland's lakes.

Visitors will be secured with an auto belay safety system while doing the course.

Croc Rock, which is located near the park’s Bobcat Bayou, takes about 45 minutes to complete.

Gatorland has a few requirements for those who want to participate in the course. Visitors must be at least 36 inches tall and weigh no more than 275 pounds. Also they will be required to wear tennis shoes (no flip flops or Crocs) and sign a liability waiver. Skirts, dresses and short shorts are also not allowed.

The Croc Rock experience will be offered select times each day. Ticket information can be found inside the park at the Zipline Depot.

Gatorland, which opened as a roadside attraction in 1949, features a variety of activities across its 110-acre park, including animal encounters, a train ride and its Screamin’ Gator Zip Line.
