ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal has added a vegan version of its popular Butterbeer drink to the menu.

What You Need To Know

  • Vegan version of Butterbeer added to the menu at Univeral Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood

  • The drink comes topped with a vegan-friendly foam

  • Visitors can purchase the drink, cold or frozen, at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The drink, available at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood, comes topped with a vegan-friendly foam. It’s served cold or frozen.

“The new non-dairy offering features the same delicious taste as the existing, wildly-popular Butterbeer drink—complete with flavors reminiscent of butterscotch and shortbread,” Universal said in a news release Thursday.

In Orlando, the vegan version can be purchased at Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade and at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley. In Hollywood, visitors can purchase the drink at Three Broomsticks and the Hog’s Head pub.

Last year, after calls from fans to offer a vegan-friendly Butterbeer, Universal began allowing visitors to order the drink without the dairy-based foam.

The vegan version of Butterbeer joins other vegan menu options at the Wizarding World. Other dishes include Irish Stew, the Shepard’s Pasty Pe and the Mushroom Pie Platter—which is only available at Universal Orlando.
