The name tags are set to debut this fall just in time for the start of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” on October 1.

According to Disney, a team of graphic artists and costume designers spent more than a year developing the new name tag. The final design features several special touches, including holographic gold foil, royal blue lettering that matches Cinderella Castle’s turrets, and an exclusive color wash inspired by Mickey and Minnie’s anniversary costumes that give each name tag a pearlescent shimmer.

“Designing this name tag meant a lot because it allowed me to think of every single person who will be receiving one for the 50th anniversary celebration,” said Brett Owens, a graphic designer with Disney Live Entertainment, in a Disney Parks Blog post. “Our team really wanted to create a special way to say, ‘Thank you!’ to the cast, as well as give them something to have as a reminder they were here for this special time in our history.”

Disney World’s 18-month-long anniversary celebration also includes special costumes for Mickey and Minnie Mouse, a new look for Cinderella Castle as well as enhancements such as overlays and projections for the four park icons—Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom, Spaceship Earth at Epcot, Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

More details about “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” will be released in the coming months.
