ORLANDO, Fla. – After an extended closure, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park will reopen on March 7.

What You Need To Know

  • Disney's Blizzard Beach reopening soon

  • Tickets are now available

  • Health and safety measures will be in place

As preparations continue for the reopening, tickets to the water park are now available to purchase.

A one-day ticket (without blockout dates) costs $69 plus tax for an adult and $63 plus tax for a child. Tickets, which can be purchased online, will be valid through December 31. Disney also has options for passholders and those who had unused water park tickets.

Unlike Disney World’s theme parks, park reservations will not be required to visit the water park at this time, according to the Disney World website.

Blizzard Beach will reopen with similar health and safety measures that have been implemented through Disney World, including reduced capacity, temperature screenings and physical distancing. Visitors will also be required to wear face masks in designated areas, but not while in the water or on water slides. Visitors will be able to remove their face masks when eating and drinking.

“Face coverings will be required in designated areas for each guest age 2 and up, including but not limited to the park entrance and exit, retail areas, and food and beverage ordering areas,” according to the website.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, which also closed last March in response to the pandemic, has not yet been given a reopening date.
