- Visitors can see the animal climb and play
The goats are part of a new “scene” in the attraction that features a warden’s outpost, where visitors can see the animals climb and play.
“To prepare for the new Nigerian dwarf goats that just joined the herd, Kyle Price, the park’s Imagineering art director and our set decoration team collaborated with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment team to create a warden’s outpost that fits within the storyline and feels authentic to Africa, but also has the durability to withstand how much goats love to eat, climb and play,” Walt Disney Imagineering wrote in an Instagram post.
The goats, originally from Nigeria, are considered valuable because of their high-protein milk.
Kilimanjaro Safaris also recently welcomed a pair of giraffe calves to the savannah.
