The Orlando-based company will automatically extend all active annual passes for its parks, including Busch Gardens. All active annual passes and memberships will be extended "for the length of time in which the parks remain closed," the email said.
Domestic single-day tickets and unused multi-day tickets set to expire during the park closures will be extended through December 31, 2021, according to SeaWorld. Expiring single-day and multi-day tickets that were purchased internationally will be extending through the first week of 2022.
"We are also offering discounted tickets to be used when our parks reopen," SeaWorld said.
The company also plans to announce new benefits for active pass members in "the coming days."
SeaWorld's 12 parks have been closed since mid-March because of the coronavirus pandemic. The company furloughed 95 percent of its staff following the closure.
A reopening date has not been announced, but SeaWorld said it is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with public health officials to ensure it reopens in a safe and responsible manner.
SeaWorld also said Wednesday it had added new precautions for animals and staff, including a procedure to take staff temperatures before they enter the parks. A small team of animal specialists continue working at the parks to take care of the animals.
Since the closure, SeaWorld's Animal Rescue Team has rescued dozens of animals, including sea lions and manatees.
