ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney World, Universal Orlando and Florida's other theme park are temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. But you can still visit some of them—virtually.
Thanks to Google Maps Street View you can take a virtual walking tour through Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Pandora-The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Universal Studios Florida.
Here's a list of the locations you can explore along with the links:
- Magic Kingdom
- Epcot
- Disney's Hollywood Studios
- Pandora-The World of Avatar
- Universal Studios Florida
- Universal's Islands of Adventure
Now, it's not the same as the real thing, but it could tide you over until the parks reopen.
A bit of a warning: the Street View images were captured some time ago. So due to construction at both Disney World and Universal, the tour of some parks could be outdated. For instance, the tour of Disney's Hollywood Studios is pre-Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. So, unfortunately, you can't take a trip to Batuu.
But, hey, maybe it'll be fun to take a trip down memory lane to see attractions that no longer exist.
Speaking of attractions, you can enjoy a virtual "ride" on some of your favorites thanks to numerous POV videos on YouTube. Videos include Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom, Frozen Ever After at Epcot, and E.T Adventure at Universal Studios Florida.
Here's one to get you started:
Disney World, Universal Orlando and other theme parks are expected to be closed through the end of the month.
