ORLANDO, Fla. -- SeaWorld Orlando is on baby watch.
- Kaboodle, a walrus at SeaWorld, is pregnant
- She is expected to give birth this spring
- This will mark her second calf; her first was born in 2017
Kaboodle, one of the park's walruses, is expected to give birth this spring, SeaWorld announced Tuesday. Garfield, another walrus at the Wild Arctic exhibit, is the father.
The birth will mark the second for Kaboodle, who gave birth to Ginger in June 2017.
The exhibit is also home to Aku, who was rescued off the coast of Alaska in 2017.
Walruses have a gestation period of 16 month, the longest of all pinnipeds, which includes seals and sea lions. Walrus calves can weigh between 100 and 170 pounds when they are born.
SeaWorld veterinarians are closely monitoring Kaboodle during her pregnacy.
