Topgolf will open its Orlando location on Friday, the company has announced.
The 65,000-square-foot facility is located at Convention Way and Universal Boulevard, across from the Orange County Convention Center.
The entertainment complex features golfing games with technology that tracks accuracy and distance.
Players can test their skills in the 102 climate-controlled hitting bays. Each bay is rented by the hour and can hold up to six people.
Topgolf's Toptracer technology tracks players' hits via a micro-chipped golf ball. The speed, distance and accuracy of each shot is recorded.
An HDTV inside the hitting bay shows replays of players’ shots.
Orlando—the third Florida location for the Dallas-based company—is the first to use Toptracer.
“The beauty of Topgolf is that you don’t have to be a golfer to have fun—but the Toptracer technology adds a fresh element of interest and interaction that we believe will inspire a whole new appreciation for the game,” said Andrew Macaulay, Topgolf Entertainment Group Chief Technology Officer. “Playing at Topgolf Orlando will be like being a part of a video game come to life.”
In addition, the venue offers food and beverage, big screen TVs and music.
For those looking to host a meeting or party, the facility has up to 3,000 square feet of event space.
Topgolf has already hired 500 full-time and part-time employees ahead of its grand opening.
A 10-percent discount on game play is offered to military (active duty and veterans), fire, police and EMS personnel with a valid I.D.
