Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has put up staggering numbers throughout his NFL career, and in some ways, he's been even better in the playoffs.
Including Allen's first playoff game in 2019, he's put up 31 total touchdowns with just four interceptions.
He’s a player who rises to the occasion in big spots and they'll need him at his best with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.
“It’s all I think about right now, is just trying to put my best foot forward and win this football game,” Allen said. “At the same time, I’ve said this a few times throughout the year, and having a talk with [Bills pass-rusher] Von Miller before the year, just being OK with whatever happens throughout the season. Sometimes the ball’s going to roll the opposite way from you. Sometimes it’s going to bounce into your arms. Just taking advantage of every opportunity that comes our way. This is a fun game to play in.”
While Allen has been great, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is perhaps in a tier of his own with all of his individual accolades and team success. He’s led the Chiefs to three Super Bowl victories and ended the Bills’ season in three of the last four years with strong play of his own in the most critical situations.
“You just have to know you’re going to have to play your best football. I mean I’ve played against Josh enough times to know that he’s going to come out there and play great football, especially in those big moments,” said Mahomes. “And so for me, I have to play my best football whenever I get the opportunity to and try to put our team in the best position to succeed. And if that’s limiting turnovers, if that’s changing field position, whatever that is, you have to find a way that day to win and when you go up against a great quarterback, it takes your best as well.”
Two of the NFL's biggest arms, biggest talent and biggest stars are set to battle for their place in history and the right to compete for the Lombardi Trophy this Sunday.
