CLERMONT, Fla. — Florida Fish and Wildlife investigators say they found the body of a missing swimmer in Lake county.

The sheriff's office dive team says a 64-year-old man went missing earlier Monday.

They say his body was found right before 7 p.m.

"The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Clermont Police Department have concluded search and rescue operations on Lake Minneola. At approximately 6:45PM, the Lake County Sheriff's Office dive team recovered the deceased body of the 64-year-old male who went missing earlier in the day while on Lake Minneola. The FWC would like to extend our condolences to his family during this difficult time. This will continue to be an active investigation. At this time, we have no further information to release."
