She may be just 9 years old, but Palm Bay's Sarah Lewis knows her way around the kitchen.

Her specialty are these snacks, but they are not for people.
"We have big dog treats and little dog treats and we have a puppy," she says.
They are for pets. Sarah's mother says it began a couple years ago when she saw a commercial about adopting dogs.
It touched her heart so much, she began drawing pictures and going door to door to sell them to neighbors.
"She would ask them to pay $10 for a drawing, which was cute. But she needed to do something more creative, more beneficial," Sarah's mother Amanda Lewis said.
"'If I could do anything to help you, what would it be?' And she said, 'Dog treats.' She said our dogs have them and they like them, so why not give them to other dogs?" Amanda Lewis explained.
That began her little venture, to bake the treats from scratch. Her goal was to raise money for the Brevard County Animal Shelter so more dogs can go to forever homes.
"They don't have to be lonely anymore. I hope they have a better place, and let them get cuddled," said Sarah.
Once wrapped up, Sarah and her mom take the cookies to Melbourne's Animal Medical Clinic, where a jar is waiting for anyone who wants to buy them for any price.
So far, she has raised more than $350 for the shelter, but wants to do much more.
"So they can be happy," she says.
