Weather Alerts
A Flood Watch continues across coastal Louisiana and parts of Mississippi.
Red Flag Warnings are in effect across west Texas and New Mexico due to gusty winds and very dry air.
Winter alerts are in effect in far northern periphery of the country from the northern Plains, Great Lakes, to New England.

High Temperatures Today
Another very warm day across eastern parts of the country. Highs will run 10-15 degrees above average from the Ohio Valley to Southeast.
Cooler air settles in behind the strong front across the northern half of the Plains and Midwest.

Low Temperatures Tonight
Another very mild night across the east coast with lows 15-25 degrees above average. It will also remain warmer-than-average in the West.
The only area of cooler air will be across the northern Plains.
Precipitation Outlook
An active pattern will continue this weekend with a large system on the move from the Plains to Northeast
Areas of flooding are possible in the Deep South from Louisiana to Alabama. Isolated flooding is possible.
A strong low will bring snow to South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas. Ahead of the front, severe storms with heavy rain will be likely in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.
This same system will bring a powerful line of storms from the Ohio Valley to much of the Southeast Sunday with a higher risk of severe weather.
A winter storm will bring ice and snow to the Great lakes and northern parts of New England. Significant ice in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and mountains of New England will make for dangerous travel conditions.
