The front that moved through yesterday has stalled close to the region.

Waves of low pressure will ride along the stalled front, the next few days, enhancing the moisture. This means we’ll see periods of rain and even a few thunderstorms through early Sunday.

Look for showers tonight and a few rumbles of thunder, but no severe weather is expected. Temperatures will drop close to 50 degrees.

We’ll see a lull in the activity tomorrow morning, but rain will become widespread by midday. Under the clouds and showers, temperatures will only manage the mid-50s.

Tomorrow evening into tomorrow night will feature heavy rain and a low-end severe risk. Timing looks to be after sunset until about midnight. An isolated storm could become strong to severe with large hail and gusty winds. Temperatures will stay close to 50.

Saturday morning will see another lull during the morning, but the rain ramps back up by the afternoon. This time, however, there is no severe threat, although can’t rule out a few rumbles of thunder. Temperatures will hold steady around 50.

Showers will linger for the first part of Sunday, but we will begin to dry out for the afternoon. Temperatures will stay on the cool side, only in the lower 50s.

High pressure returns for the start of next week, bringing a return to sunshine.
