Road work means more lane closures on Interstate 81 are beginning this weekend in Broome County.

Starting Saturday, the state Department of Transportation said I-81 south will be down to one lane from Exit 13 to the state Route 7 overpass in Binghamton.

Route 17 east will be down to one lane as well, heading to the overpass, starting from exit 72.

The changes will start at 7 a.m. and continue for about two weeks.
