ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — An eight-vehicle crash on State Road 417 on Tuesday morning kept the northbound lanes shut down for several hours.

One of the drivers died, according to Orlando police. Cause of death is unknown. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the crash.

From Sky 13, several vehicles were seen crashed in grassy medians on both sides of the northbound lanes.

The northbound lanes of S.R. 417 are closed at Lake Nona Boulevard. Drivers are being diverted off at Boggy Creek Road. The southbound lanes were briefly closed but have reopened. 

Nearby, Gov. Ron DeSantis was at the UCF Medical School in Lake Nona on Tuesday morning to announce the recipients of a grant.
