TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Bay Lightning are headed back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the eighth consecutive year.

The team clinched on Saturday after the New York Rangers’ 4-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils.

Ahead of the Bolt’s matchup against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, the team sits in second place in the Atlantic Division, three points behind the Toronto Maple Leafs.

With six regular season games remaining, the Lightning are making a charge to capture the top seed, and will host the Leafs on Wednesday, April 9.

Also in the hunt are the Florida Panthers, who the Lightning will also host on April 15.
