Syracuse women's basketball blew a 19-point lead in the first round of the ACC Tournament against Boston College, losing 76-73.
Syracuse, the 13 seed in the tournament, led by 17 at halftime, led by Kyra Wood dominating the Eagles in the post.
A second-half surge won the game for the 12-seeded Eagles. They pressed the Orange, forcing turnovers and outscored Syracuse 28-15 in the third quarter.
The Orange didn't getting their first basket out of halftime until halfway through the third quarter.
The Eagles' Dontavia Waggoner had a career day, finishing with 32 points. Teya Sidberry added a double-double with a career high 17 rebounds and 22 points.
Sophie Burrows lead the Orange with elite three-point shooting and finishing at the hoop, finishing with 23 points.
The loss comes just three days after Syracuse beat B.C. by 25 points at home.
The Eagles play North Carolina Thursday in the second round of the tournament at 11 a.m.
Syracuse's season is most likely over after the loss, having finished the regular season 6-12 in conference and 12-18 overall.
