Beate Wagner, the mother of the Magic's Franz and Moritz Wagner, has spent extensive time the past two years living in Orlando while writing a book about her sons' basketball journeys.
The Wagner mom spoke with Spectrum Sports 360 from her home in Berlin, Germany, in an interview that aired on Mother's Day. She explained that she wrote the book because so many people asked her about how she and her husband went about raising two boys as they grew to become NBA players.
The most important factor, she said, was they did not put any pressure on their sons and let them decide every day whether they wanted to continue playing.
The book will be released May 22 and available on Amazon, but so far, the published versions only are in German text. Wagner said she was excited to receive the first five copies of the book recently.
