Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia held two town halls with residents over the weekend. One of those was held in Long Beach, the other was held in Orange. Garcia called out Republican Rep. Young Kim for not holding town halls. Republicans have backed away from holding town halls in recent weeks after multiple incidents involving protesters. 

Representative Kim's office gave this statement to Spectrum News 1, in part, saying:

"The fact that these events are only being held in competitive districts shows this is purely political grandstanding. Rep. Kim’s constituents know that she is accessible and fighting on their behalf."
