Gatorland is celebrating a huge milestone. The theme park turns 75, and the anniversary celebration also kicks off the fifth annual Gatorpalooza weekend.

1. This weekend — May 18 and 19 — Gatorland is amping up its regularly scheduled experiences and activities with birthday surprises.

2. The fifth annual Gatorpalooza also happens this weekend, which will includ outside vendors, contests, character appearances, and more.

3. Park director Mike Hileman has been with Gatorland for a whopping 32 years. “We don’t take ourselves too seriously,” he said with a smile. “We’re going to have those corny jokes and one-line zingers in our shows that aren’t on script.”

4. Also this weekend, Gatorland’s most historic and iconic attractions are awaiting guests, from The Screamin’ Gator Zipline and The Gator Jumparoo Show, to the iconic gator mouth entrance.

5. These special interactions are included with regular park admission. As always, parking is free.
