KISSIMMEE, Fla. – You may have noticed some Halloween events kicking off already, and that includes at a Kissimmee resort known for its holiday events. So we're taking you inside to meet the creative team and the characters they've created.
Goblins & Giggles Weekends is now in its 6th year, but it will feel totally new. This year, it has 13 separately-themed events.
The Gaylord Palms Resort has completely transformed its atrium into a fall-themed environment. Niko Nickolaou is in charge of Gaylord Hotels' special events and creative. “I love telling stories,” he says, beaming. “One of the best things about my job is actually seeing it come from the drawing board to life.”
Some of the interactive experiences this year are complimentary, while others are ticketed. For instance, the all-new Ghoul School takes place in 30-minute increments on Friday and Saturday nights through Halloween. This event features descendants of iconic Halloween monsters for $12.99.
Some of the characters you'll experience are a talking skeleton, a singing trio of animatronic-like ghouls, a mad scientist, and more.
Goblins & Giggles Weekends takes place on Fridays and Saturdays (with some Sunday events) all the way until October 31.
