KISSIMMEE, Fla. — A Kissimmee chef is honoring his mom through soul food he prepares.
“She’s the No. 1 person in my life, and she made a lot of sacrifices growing up,” Chef “Tony Tone” said, speaking about his mom, Candee Lee.
Chef Tony, a Virginia Beach native, has opened his first restaurant in Kissimmee, Candee Lee's Soul House, sharing his recipes.
“Most of them are family, whether they come from my dad, my mom, aunties, uncles," he said.
Chef Tony broke down the recipes for two of his best sellers: his fried chicken and million-dollar mac.
You can find Candee Lee’s on U.S. Highway 192, also known as 8085 Irlo Bronson Highway, across the street from the Promenade at Sunset Walk.
