CINCINNATI — Monday kicks off Alumni Week for the University of Cincinnati's Alumni Association.
The week begins on April 7 and runs through April 13 and commemorates this year's celebration with a community art project in the Over-The-Rhine neighborhood of UC honorees receiving top awards from the organization.
In total, 18 honorees will be recognized for their breakthroughs and the impacts they have made on their university, communities and in their workfields on April 10 at Cincinnati's Music Hall.
“This year’s group of honorees reflects the excellence that UC alumni demonstrate across so many disciplines and in service to people around the world,” said Jennifer Heisey, UC’s chief alumni officer. “They reflect expertise, talent and remarkable breakthroughs that exemplify a spirit of innovation, service and philanthropy — the personification of alumni success — and we’re proud to recognize them during Alumni Week.”
An artpiece featuring the 18 alumni will be unveiled in early April and remain on display through March 2026. Chroma Projects was commissioned to designe and illustrate the mural by UCAA.
The mural can be seen on the side of a building at 1430 Vine St.
