COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohioans in central Ohio gathered for the fourth annual Cleaner Columbus Citywide Cleanup this past weekend.

Keep Columbus Beautiful partnered with city councilmember Emmanuel Remy and rallied more than 200 volunteers to remove 16,720 pounds of trash in neighborhoods around the city.

“We are proud to have kicked off earth month with a successful litter pickup," said Remy in a news release. "Seeing our community come together to make a cleaner Columbus year after year is inspiring.”

Keep Columbus Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful and community improvement program for the city, provided supplies and guidance to volunteers.
