OHIO — The rain will continue at times through the remainder of the weekend.
Another round of steady, widespread rain will impact the state today into tonight.
Coverage of rain should turn scattered as the night progresses.
More rain will be around Sunday afternoon and evening, especially across central and southern Ohio.
In fact, it may be chilly enough for some wet snow mix on Sunday, north of I-70.
The rain we've picked up, combined with the rain yet to come, has resulted in numerous river flood warnings across the state.
Multiple rivers are in or forecast to reach minor to moderate flood stage Sunday into Monday. This includes rivers like:
• Ohio River (Moderate)
• Scioto River (Moderate)
• Great Miami River (Moderate)
• Hocking River (Moderate)
• Maumee River (Minor)
• Little Miami River (Minor)
Some good news here is that there's only a very small chance of a thunderstorm in far southern Ohio this evening into tonight. Severe weather is not expected.
We have had 10 tornadoes confirmed in Ohio in the last week. You can see our 2025 tornado tracker here.
Rain will end Sunday evening as drier air moves in. However, a strong cold front will bring a round of rain and snow later Monday. This will not exacerbate the flooding issues.
