TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida lawmakers and officials finalized the state’s votes for the 2024 General Election Tuesday.

Florida’s 30 delegates certified the election inside the state’s Senate chamber, recognizing President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over outgoing President Joe Biden.
Florida was home to 30 of the nation’s 538 electoral votes in 2024. In all, Trump won 312 electoral votes.
The Florida GOP delegates are a mix of GOP leaders and lawmakers. Among them is Melbourne Republican State Sen. Randy Fine.
Trump endorsed Fine to replace outgoing GOP Rep. Mike Waltz, whom Trump tapped to become national security adviser.
“I think Americans feel more hopeful now about our country than certainly they have in the last four years,” said Fine, who is now running to serve in Florida’s 6th Congressional District.
The U.S. Congress will next count the nation’s certified results in a joint session on Jan. 6.
Inauguration Day for Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance is scheduled Jan. 20.
