ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Mega Millions jackpot has reached nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars in the wake of Friday night's drawing.

There were no jackpot winners, meaning $740 million will be the big prize for the next drawing on Tuesday night.

Friday's winning numbers were 36, 43, 52, 58, 65, with the Mega Ball 16.

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won at $810 million in Texas on September 10.

According to Mega Millions officials, the last time the jackpot was close to this level in the days before Christmas was in 2013, when a $648 million prize was shared between winners in California and Georgia on Dec. 17.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been won only three times in 2024, so far the fewest won in any single year since the game began.

Tickets are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
