Lake County emergency management director Megan Milanes says the pathway to recovery couldn't be made possible without community partners.

Milanes is working around the clock, addressing area concerns, connecting residents to organizations that can help.

That’s why having this one-stop shop for residents is an important resource for Lake County.

“Recovery is when you really start to see that community come together. That is when everybody is providing resources as they can, making sure all our folks who got through the hurricane continue to put their lives back together,” said Milanese.

From the American Red Cross to FEMA to the Florida Department of Health, the Lake County Storm Recovery Center is open to all residents who may need it.

While the road to recovery may be long, Lake County hopes by offering resources, like this center, it will help residents’ situation get better.

Lake County is also offering transportation to the storm resource center, with pick up locations at the Butler Street Boat Ramp in Astor, Pine Forest Park in DeLand and Clermont Park & Ride.
