This summer — for a limited time — you can spontaneously pop in and create some art. Or, if you need to run back-to-school errands and want a place to put the kids for a few hours, Painting with a Twist has come up with an option.
1. Unlike our traditional paint-and-sip events, this freestyle DIY experience is self-led, giving you the freedom to create art at your own pace.
2. Berbino Lahens is a Painting with a Twist franchisee/owner who has a location in the Universal area. Doing things at your own pace, he says, seems harder to find these days. That’s why he’s offering summertime Pop-In and Paint. Guests are self-led with video instruction. In-person instructors are available, though, for extra help.
3. “(You are) coming in and having a carefree escape and leaving with a great memory,” he said. Just walk in during designated Pop In hours and choose any art piece you'd like to create.
4. Painting “activated” by black light in a special lounge is also part of the Pop in.
5. Florida has nearly three dozen Painting with a Twist locations. Eight are in Central Florida, all the way from the Universal-area location, to Mount Dora and Daytona Beach.
