First lady Dr. Jill Biden will be in Tampa on Monday. President Joe Biden’s campaign is providing little details about what she will address during her stop.

What is known is that she is expected to speak at 3 p.m. at an American Legion post in the Tampa neighborhood of Seminole Heights.

Her visit comes as the campaign is working to convince voters Joe Biden is the right candidate for the Democratic party.

Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries held a call with ranking party members.

Sources told Spectrum News partners at CNN that more than a handful of lawmakers on the call said Biden needs to step aside.

Last week Joe Biden shared on social media quote, “I’m not letting a 90-minute debate wipe out three and half years of work. I’m staying in the race and I will beat Donald Trump.”

Former president Donald Trump will host a campaign rally just outside Miami in Doral on Tuesday.

Trump has yet to select his pick for vice president, which may happen soon.

He has repeatedly said he intends to make the pick just before or during the Republican National Convention.

On the former president’s reported vice president shortlist includes U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, Ohio U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

Biden’s work on the campaign trail also continues this week as he is set to appear in Detroit on Friday.
