As beachgoers in Volusia County headed out for what is likely to be another busy day, law enforcement officials said they expected to have a large presence of their own.

Between crowds, heavier traffic, and more boats out on the water, Sheriff Mike Chitwood said the agency will be out in full force with a zero-tolerance policy for unlawful behavior.

In Volusia County, alcohol and glass bottles are prohibited on the beach. Likewise, loud music should not be heard more than 50 feet away from your vehicle.

“We really have zero tolerance," Chitwood said. "If you want to come here and act a fool, we have a place for you at the happiest place on Earth, which is the Volusia County jail."
