Upon arrival Saturday night, deputies heard multiple gunshots originating from the rear of the establishment, prompting the dispersal of the crowd.

Officials said an argument escalated, eventually leading to the gunshots. A security guard was able to apprehend the suspected gunman after the shooting.

Ten people suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds, primarily to their lower extremities.

One of those victims was Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell. He sustained a minor wound and was released from a local hospital, the team announced on social media.

“We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate,” the team wrote.

Dell played high school football in Volusia County and is from Daytona Beach.

Deputies said the suspect, a 16-year-old, was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. The teen faces four charges related to the shooting, with more potentially coming.

The incident remains under investigation.

Eric Robinson has a son who was shot in the leg. Robinson said his son is in good spirits as he anticipates surgery.

"We got teenagers out here just not thinking," said Robinson. "They think it’s a video game. They think you can shoot people, and the game starts back up and people get back up again. And that’s just not the realization when you’re playing with real firearms."

On Sunday, Cabana Live posted to Facebook stating that they rented out their venue for a private event and are still learning information as the investigation continues. The post states that employees are safe and the business was open Sunday.

Also, a look into police activity at the venue's address revealed 19 sheriff’s office reports in the past four years, with a range of offenses including domestic violence, DUI, burglary, theft and more.
