ORLANDO, Fla. — A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting deaths of a 19-year-old man and a 6-year-old girl.
Police said they were not the intended targets when the shooting happened just after 8 p.m. on Aug. 29 in the 1100 block of Poppy Avenue in Orlando.
The victims have been identified as Ajahliyah Hashim, 6, and 19-year-old Isaiyah Wright.
The child's mother also was shot, sustaining non-life threatening injuries.
On Saturday, Orlando Police announce the arrest of a 15-year-old for first degree homicide in connection to the shooting deaths of both victims. In accordance with News 13's crime guidelines, the suspect's name is not being released due to his being a minor.
The investigation is still ongoing.
