Florida Hospital Association is projecting a shortage of more than 59,000 nurses by 2035. That’s why we’re seeing companies like Orlando Health host hiring events. They’re also addressing the potential shortage by internal training.

“We’re doing additional training for nursing assistants and medical assistants in areas where we know those roles are hard to fill. So we can fill those jobs quickly and also provide growth opportunities for existing team members,” said Heather Harris, assistant vice president of talent strategy.
