ORLANDO, Fla. — One person was killed and two were injured during a shooting outside a football game at Jones High School in Orlando.

The Orlando Police Department provided an update Saturday night, saying shots rang out during what police believe was an altercation between two groups in the school's north parking lot.

The Jones High School football team and Wekiva High School football team were playing at the time.

The game was cut short with less than two minutes left. Social media posts show players and attendees on the ground after hearing gunshots.

"It's very unfortunate. It takes away from a hard fought competition between two Orange County schools," said Jones High head coach Elijah Williams.

Police nearby at the Electronic Daisy Carnival responded and located two adult male victims with gunshot wounds.

One man died to their injuries, the other was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In a press release, police said another victim took themselves to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officials say four juveniles individuals were taken into custody. One suspect was armed.

"We believe we may have the suspect in custody, but at this time we are still investigating," said Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith.

It's not known if the suspects have any affiliation to Jones or Wekiva high schools.

Orlando Police add there is no threat to the public at this time.
