All Cornell fraternitiy parties and social gatherings are temporarily suspended after a weekend filled with crime alerts.
Officials say there were four reported incidents of students being drugged and another of a student being sexually assaulted. All of this allegedly occured at off-campus residences affiliated with registered fraternities, according to school officials.
Because of this, the Interfraternity Council held an emergency meeting and made the move to end these events for the time being. During this stoppage, fraternity leaders are expected to put in better health and safety plans.
School officials say parties and get-togethers won't resume until that happens.
Investigations by police and Cornell administration are underway, and they're asking anyone with information to please reach out.
