The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is back this year after it was canceled last year due to COVID-19.
It featured hundreds of artists from all over the country and brought in thousands of spectators. Michel Delgado was one of the artists, from Chicago.
“It”s nice to be outdoors and bring the work to the people. It's a good escape mentally, emotionally to get lost somewhere, and we all benefit from it,” said Delgado.
Masks were not required at this event, but event officials are still encouraging people to socially distance.
John Yellow from Winter Park chose to not wear a mask outdoors.
“I feel pretty comfortable, I have got my shots,” said Yellow.
Others like John Emmanuel still chose to wear his mask. He is vaccinated, but said he wears it protect himself and others.
“Just a precaution, one ounce of precaution saves everybody. Right now 40-50 percent are vaccinated. Until we get 70-80 percent, then I would feel safer not wearing a mask,” said Emmanuel.
The festival started Friday and ends Sunday.
