ROCKLEDGE, Fla. — A 28-year-old Martin County woman was killed Friday morning after the SUV she was in crashed into the back of a semitrailer hauling mail on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The victim, Jacinda Stetler, was a passenger in 2014 Dodge SUV driven by 39-year-old Paul Stetler, both of Hobe Sound. 

They were heading north in the right lane of I-95 at mile marker 198 near Rockledge when at about 8:40 a.m. Friday, it crashed into the back of the semitrailer that had slowed, FHP said.

Paul Stetler incurred minor injuries and was taken to Rockledge Regional Medical Center for treatment, troopers said.

The driver of the semitrailer, 68-year-old Lawrence Taylor of Orlando, was not hurt.

A crash investigation is ongoing.
