Cherizard is expected to face murder charges in the deaths of Elizabelle Frenel, 6; her mother, Eli Jeanie Normil, 23; and Normil’s mother, Nicole Guillume, 48.
The shooting happened before 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Citrus Ridge Apartments. Investigators say Cherizard killed Normil after a fight inside her home. He shot Guillume and Elizabelle later, according to witnesses.
When police arrived Elizabelle was still alive, but she later died at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
Family members of the victims that we spoke to did not want to speak on camera. However, they did share with us that Elizabelle, or "Bella," wanted to be a police officer, and Normil was working hard to go to medical school.
The family is still working on plans for a memorial service.
Ernst Cherizard, 38, is accused of killing 2 women and shooting a child. This is a mug shot from Polk County Sheriff's Office in 2016. He was arrested for driving with a license suspended/or revoked. (Polk County Sheriff's Office)
We checked and Cherizard does not have a violent criminal history. He has two arrests in Polk County from 2016, both for driving while his license was suspended or revoked.
