ORLANDO, Fla. -- Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, the popular Texas-based dine-in theater chain, plans to open its first Florida location in Orlando.

The Orlando location will open at the Vineland Pointe shopping center, just off Interstate 4 and Daryl Carter Parkway, in 2020, the company says. It will feature 10 screens with 4K projection, 942 luxury recliners, and an attached full-service restaurant and bar.
The new movie theater will also feature what Alamo Drafthouse calls "The Big Show," which is the company's large format screen. The theater will also be able to switch between digital and 35mm formats for new releases and classic films.
Alamo Drafthouse is known for its unique programming, including movie parties that celebrate films like Princess Bride, Ghostbusters and more.
"Our goal at Alamo Drafthouse is to be the best theater imaginable for the community," Alamo Drafthouse founder and CEO Tim League said in a statement. "We do this by providing great food and drinks, along with exceptional presentation and a diverse spectrum of programming and events."
By the way, Alamo Drafthouse has a strict zero tolerance policy for talking or texting during movies.
