ORLANDO, Fla. — A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando on Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Orange Blossom Trail and 39th Street in Orlando, Lt. Kim Montes said in a statement.
Troopers said 32-year-old Victor Perez of Orlando was not in a crosswalk or at the intersection when he tried to cross OBT.
Orange County Fire Rescue workers took the man to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the 2007 Honda sedan involved in the crash, Fernando Salguero, 68, of Christmas, Florida, was wearing a seat belt and not hurt, troopers say.
