ORLANDO, Fla. — A subcontractor working on the "I-4 Ultimate" project was in critical condition after falling from a construction deck in downtown Orlando, according to their employer.

According to SGL Constructors, the worker was injured near the viaduct downtown around 1:15 p.m.
Orlando Fire officials said the man fell about 50 feet from the construction deck of I-4 near Garland Avenue and Pine Street. A Florida Department of Transportation spokesman said a few days later than the man fell 36 feet.
The worker was transported to a hospital, where he is being treated for critical injuries sustained during the fall.
"SGL is focusing on the recovery of the worker. We are investigating the incident and will keep you advised of any developments," the company said.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) says they're also investigating the incident.
Since work began on the "I-4 Ultimate" project, there have been at least three deaths related to construction.
