ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando neighborhood was rattled early Christmas morning by random gunfire that left one person injured. 

  • Gunshots in Orlando neighborhood
  • Shots from a vehicle in the 24th Street and Westmoreland Drive area
  • 1 man suffered minor injuries

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a 3 a.m. 911 call reported gunshots being fired from a vehicle in the 24th Street and Westmoreland Drive area. 

A witness said someone in the vehicle was shooting at homes.  

When deputies arrived in the area, they heard shots and found a man with a gunshot wound. The injuries were non life-threatening and the man was treated at the scene.

Some homes had bullet holes. 

Officials said there is no exact vehicle description though multiple cars were seen fleeing the area. 

Deputies blocked off two square blocks as part of an ongoing investigation.
