ORLANDO, Fla. -- Not a lot of rain to start our Memorial Day, but spotty showers and storms moved through during Monday afternoon.

  • Elevated rain chances remain through week
  • Temperatures remain near May average
  • Latest on Alberto

High temperatures made it into the mid to low 80s, but the humidity made it feel more like the low 90s.

Alberto made landfall on the Florida panhandle and will quickly weaken Tuesday. Showers and storms will still be possible with tropical moisture sticking around.

Watch for developing storms if heading to the beach. Exercise caution if heading out and watch for rip currents.

Mostly cloudy skies will continue into Tuesday morning as temperatures fall into the mid to low 60s. Most will be dry, but a few spotty showers cannot be completely ruled out.

Tuesday will start out quiet, but there is a chance for showers and storms again heading into the afternoon. The rain will be spotty and not a washout. Highs will climb into the mid-80s.

A similar forecast will continue through mid-week before rain chances begin to back off Friday. With less rain comes hotter temperatures and highs are expected to be in the 90s this weekend.

Tropical Update

Subtropical Storm Alberto made landfall around 5 p.m. Monday afternoon near Laguna Beach, Florida, along the panhandle.

Alberto will continue to track north and quickly weaken.

No other tropical concerns at this time. The official season begins June 1st.
