A church in Palm Bay is hoping to do its part in helping shape young men into husbands, fathers and future leaders.
It's the Summit of Seven, hosted by Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church.
The summit included a weekend full of workshops on everything from domestic violence and legal matters to learning how to become an engineer and leader.
News 13's Jackie Brockington was the special guest speaker Sunday, telling the congregation if they believe in themselves and have good mentors, they can do just about anything.
This is a program that really reaches out to the young adult males in the community, fostering pride and courage, and really giving them a sense of who they are and doing something positive, giving back.

"It's very important that the adult males really try to help the young males succeed in life," said chairman Moses Harvin Sr.
This is the 23rd year for the Summit of Seven. It's called that because every man is expected to bring seven other men with him to the summit and learn.
