Authorities have identified the 5-year-old boy who drowned in a Riverview apartment complex pool Sunday.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the mother of Torrey Davis left him unattended for about two minutes around the pool at the Preserve at Alafia apartments, 9906 Azalea Bloom Way.

When she returned, she saw people gathered around the pool, yelling and pulling the child out, the sheriff's office said.

Paramedics responded and transported Davis to Brandon Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead around 8 p.m.

Earlier Sunday, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said that two cousins who were pulled from a backyard pool in Lakeland on Friday night had died.

Silas Lugl-Walsh, 18 months, and Jayvien Watkins, had been hospitalized at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa in critical condition.

Also Sunday, a 3-year-old child was flown to All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg after being found at the bottom of a Brooksville pool. The child's condition isn't known.
